This may be the banana bread to end all banana bread and it’s not even made with bananas!
Ingredients:
2 plaintains (very, very ripe)
5 & 1/2 tablespoons (75g) melted unsalted butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of kosher salt
3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
11/2 cups (195g) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon raw, turbinado, or demerara sugar, for sprinkling (or use more granulated sugar)
